Lacks Enterprises, Inc., a Grand Rapids, MI-based tier one auto supplier, recently opened a 25,000-square-foot research and testing facility for contract testing. The lab, which employs 11 technicians and meets ISO/IEC 1725 standard, offers an extensive range of testing and validation procedures to analyze both raw materials and painted, plated and assembled exterior and interior component parts on thermoplastic polymers for a number of applications including automotive. The facility has capabilities in environmental and coatings analysis, adhesives, paint, polymers and rubber analysis; chemical and analytical instrumentation; microexamination and mechanical testing.
